Who may register

Unless otherwise indicated, classes are open to everyone. Those 62 years of age or older living in the Plymouth School District get a 20% discount on classes where noted. Financial assistance may be available for youth classes. Fees increase $10 after the early registration deadline, as noted in the descriptions.

The Plymouth School District and Community Education & Recreation are in full compliance with Title VI and VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments stating that no person shall be denied the benefits of, or be excluded from participating in or subjected to discrimination because of race, color, national origin, creed, sex, or disability.

Disabled persons who need special assistance may register for Community Ed & Rec classes and attend with an adult, who will not be a regular member of the class but will be there to assist the student. This assistant is not required to pay for the class, but will pay for any consumable supplies he or she uses that were provided by the teacher.

How to register

Participants must pre-register for all classes, unless otherwise indicated. No registration is complete until fees are paid. Three ways to register:
  • Online: Available for most classes. Visit https://plymouthwi.myrec.com
  • By mail: Complete a paper registration form and mail it and a check made out to Community Ed & Rec to Community Education & Recreation, 125 S. Highland Ave., Plymouth WI 53073
  • In person: Pay with cash, check or credit card in our office on the south end of Plymouth High School (park in front & enter Door 18), which is open 8am-4pm weekdays.
Registration will not be handled in classes. Instructors can deny participation until registration is complete.

To keep class costs down, confirmation is not sent to verify your registration, unless you register online. You will be notified if your registration is incomplete or if a class is to be cancelled.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
All Community Ed & Rec classes must be self-supporting. Fees help offset class costs and are based on length of class, instructor compensation, basic materials, and other instructional costs. It is our goal to offer quality classes and activities at the lowest possible cost. With that in mind, we have adopted the following policies.

For classes that meet repeatedly
(i.e. fitness, aquatics, Pickleball Open Play, Woodworking, middle-school sports, etc.)
All fees will be refunded if the class is dropped due to insufficient enrollment or if the class fills before we receive your registration. If you cancel before the first class, your money will be refunded less a $4 service charge. No refunds will be made after the second class. We cannot make up or credit the occasional class that is cancelled due to circumstances outside our control (i.e. inclement weather, instructor illness, etc.)

For classes that meet once or only a few times
(i.e. nutrition & wellness classes, Home Alone, Babysitting Clinic, etc.)
All fees will be refunded if the class is dropped due to insufficient enrollment or if the class fills before we receive your registration. If you cancel before the early registration deadline, your money will be refunded less a $4 service charge. No refunds will be made after that deadline.

For classes that have no fee
(i.e. Around Our Town tours, Free Films, Middle-School Lifting & Intramurals, Medicare, Social Security, etc.)
Though there is no fee (and therefore no refund), please contact our office as soon as you know you can no longer attend, so that we can remove you from the roster and offer the spot to someone else.

For child care
No refunds will be given for field trips that require a registration fee because tickets are purchased in advance, and because staffing, busing, and event costs are based on the number of students registered.

Weather cancellations

If school is cancelled or dismissed early, classes will not meet and the Fitness Center will be closed.

If school has a delayed start, morning classes will not meet and the Fitness Center will be closed in the morning.

If schools close early or if after-school activities are cancelled, afternoon/evening classes will not meet and the Fitness Center will be closed after school.

Watch the district Cancellations webpage for details and updates.

Changes
We reserve the right to change program schedules as needed to accommodate school uses. If this happens, every effort will be made to notify registered participants. Changes also will be posted at the class site.

Waiver statement
The participant/parent/guardian assumes all responsibility in case of injury or harm to participant. The Plymouth School District, its employees or agents or any volunteers/organizations associated with this activity will not be held responsible for any personal injury or loss that may occur in conjunction with this activity.
