The Fitness Center on the south end of PHS is open to community members! Features circuit training, free weights and cardio machines. The Fitness Center is supervised by an adult staff member. Equipment orientations, encouraged for all Fitness Center users, are available. Enter Door# 18 at PHS.
*A Day Pass is available for $5 CASH. (Exact amount appreciated. Limited cash on site.) You must fill out a Day Pass registration form and check in with the Fitness Center worker as a Day Pass user.
Student memberships
Students in grades 5-12 living in the district or attending our schools can use the Fitness Center for free. Students must be registered for a free student membership via MyRec by a parent/guardian. Once students have a membership, they will need to download their member barcode onto their phone, or print and laminate it, so that they can scan the code each time they come.
Student hour is from 3 to 4 p.m. weekdays during the school year; however, students are welcome anytime during public hours (though the facility may close early if there are no community members present).
High-school students
Students in grades 9-12 can use the facility independently during staffed hours if they have a free membership.
Middle-school students
Students in grades 5-8 who have a membership may use the Fitness Center if accompanied by a parent/guardian (who must have their own Fitness Center membership if they also work out)
Exception: Students in grades 7-8 who have a membership may use the facility independently after they have successfully completed our Middle-School Lifting program and passed the safety test.
NOTE: Middle-school students wishing to work out after school may ride any of the school buses from Riverview to PHS.
