Learn to work with mushrooms for food and medicine. Discover how mushrooms can contribute to our health and well-being. We will discuss sourcing, foraging, and growing mushrooms, as well as how ideally to prepare them for promoting health and for addressing health issues. Enjoy a couple of mushroom beverages, and everyone will make a mushroom tonic to take home. Parking: Enter the north entrance to PHS. Park in front parking spaces (by flagpole) and enter Door#3. Bring your own clubs and balls and practice your golf skills indoors. Putting greens also available. Doubles can use the same golf cage. Procedures:   Register by 4pm each Friday, so we can prepare a roster for our Saturday Fitness Center worker.  When you arrive, check in with the Fitness Center staff person. You are expected to watch your time and only stay for the hour or hours for which you registered. Please wear only soft or rubber spikes or tennis shoes in the multi-purpose facility. No metal spikes allowed. When golfing, only hit from the mats to help protect the turf.  Use the cages for golf only; please do not practice other sports during this time. When you leave, please stop by the Fitness Center to check out.  We are trying to offer this opportunity at minimal costs and with minimal staff needs from our office. We appreciate your honesty and again welcome any ideas on how to improve this program.  We hope to add simulators and more in the future. Please help us reach that goal.

Learn to make a coiled basket using pine needles and sweet grass. Spend a fun day exploring the creative possibilities of this traditional skill as you design and complete your basket. You will be guided and instructed on how to coil and stitch a simple basket as well as integrate other materials into your basket, such as black walnut hull, pine cone, beads, and more.
